- Standard maximum age at end of term 70
- Lending beyond age 70 may be considered up to 75

Income & employment criteria
- Sole income minimum £36,000 gross
- Joint income minimum £52,000 gross combined
- Permanent employment required and probation passed before completion
- 3 months' payslips and 3 months' bank statements required
- Self-employed applicants require minimum 24 months trading history and two year's income evidenced by tax assessments or accountant's certificate
- Contractor applicants acceptable (assessed as self-employed, 24 months history required, weekly rate x 46 - 50 where holiday paid)

- Car, housing, shift, mortgage subsidy and pension allowances
- Regular bonus, commission and overtime may be considered up to 100% where guaranteed or sustainable (otherwise 50% may be considered)
- Secondary income considered where sustainable
- Pension and projected retirement income may be considered subject to evidence
- Maintenance by court order considered

Affordability criteria
- Full affordability assessment required
- Loans and HP commitments, childcare, maintenance and school fees assessed at 100% of payment
- Credit card liability assessed at 3% of balance
- Applicant must demonstrate positive disposable income after stressed mortgage payment

- Bankruptcy, IVA, Trust Deed and Debt Arrangment Scheme not accepted
- Previous repossessions not accepted
- Some minor historical credit impairments may be considered subject to approval
