Twelve charities across Guernsey and Jersey are receiving a festive boost from Skipton International, which has donated a total of £13,000 through its Community Fund as part of a special 12 Days of Giving initiative.

The donations bring Skipton’s total charitable giving for 2025 to £100,000, supporting causes that enhance community life across the Channel Islands, from education and youth wellbeing to elderly care and health services.

The 12 charities supported this Christmas are:

Alzheimer’s Society, Friends of Jersey Oncology, Baubigny Schools PTA, Bright Beginnings, Diabetes Guernsey, Eisteddfod Guernsey, Jersey Youth Services, Guernsey Motor Neurone, Guille-Allès Library, Complex Health within the Youth Commission, Jubilee Day Centre, and Les Voies PTA.

Dani Barnett, Chair of the Skipton Community Fund, said:

“Our local charities are at the heart of island life, and we see first-hand the difference they make. The 12 Days of Giving is our way of saying thank you and giving back to the people and projects that make the Channel Islands stronger. Reaching the £100,000 milestone this year is something we’re incredibly proud of and it reflects Skipton’s long-term commitment to supporting our communities, not just at Christmas but all year round.”

Previous beneficiaries of the Fund also expressed their gratitude for Skipton’s continued support in 2025.

“Your donation means we can keep this service free for people with mobility issues - creating special moments like grandparents enjoying time with family, honeymooners paddling in the sea, and even a final swim for someone in end-of-life care.”

- Guernsey Beach Wheelchairs

“The donation we have received means we can keep up to date with the latest training for our leaders and the equipment needed. Perhaps more importantly, we can keep the cost of the session affordable, making it accessible to everyone. We are keen to be an inclusive club and want to give everyone who wants to climb the opportunity.”

- Stephanie Porter, Guernsey Mountaineering Club

“We are extremely grateful to Skipton International for their wonderful donation to the Valley Adventure Project. Support like this enables us to provide vital services for autistic individuals and their families in Jersey.”

- Amanda Christian, Charitable Services Support, Autism Jersey

"I would like to thank you sincerely for your generous grant to Look Good Feel Better.  This will enable us to run two workshops at the Oasis Macmillan Centre in Jersey, which will benefit more people with cancer by helping them to rebuild their confidence and improve their lives."

- Jill Bradley, Lead Volunteer, Look Good Feel Better Jersey
