People Business Partner

Overview

The People Business Partner  will work closely with business leaders and line managers to diagnose people priorities, create people plans, and help implement people approaches aligned to Skipton International’s strategic objectives and Corporate Plan.

The role will also include developing and implementing frameworks, policies, procedures and practices to ensure delivery of people strategy.

This role requires Degree level education or equivalent professional and/or vocational qualifications/training/accreditation in HRM.

  • Skills and experience of planning, managing and evaluating strategic change projects.
  • Skills in resource and budgetary management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide People expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organisational development.
  • Collaborate with the Chief People Officer  to develop and deliver manager training programmes focused on people and resource management, including performance management, remote working, crucial conversations, etc.
  • Develop and roll out a structured colleague learning and development programme to enhance employee skills and competencies, aligned with organisational goals.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to managers on various People-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and development.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process of all vacancies including advertising, proactively searching for candidates where required and advising and supporting hiring Managers on the selection process.
  • Responsible for effective case management of people related issues such as disciplinaries, performance management, grievance, and absence management.
