Management Accountant

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to further their career in financial control and reporting as part of Skipton’s growing finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and management, playing a pivotal role in supporting our finance function. From analysing financial data to providing strategic insights, you will be involved in driving informed decision-making and supporting the business.

Required Skills

  • Professional accountancy qualification, with a minimum of 3 years working in an accounting, audit or financial role. 
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and local regulations.
  • Highly numerate, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial, regulatory and group reporting
  • Assist in the forecasting and corporate planning process
  • Analyse and interpret data to assist senior management with decision-making and monitoring risks
  • Liaise with auditors in the internal and external audit process
