When considering a UK Buy-To-Let investment, particularly when expatriate, it is helpful to have a view of the types of mortgages a lender supports. Therefore, please find the below examples of UK mortgages we have recently completed. The list will be expanded upon as our customers provide feedback.

  • Purchase of a new purpose built flat in Manchester for £178,000, with a Skipton Expat mortgage of £133,000. The purchase was by British and Italian expatriates resident in Switzerland and mortgaged on a Capital and Interest basis.

  • A purpose built modern flat was purchased in London with a Skipton International UK mortgage of £131,000 by a Guernsey resident. The mortgage is on an interest only basis and the flat was purchased as a long term Buy-To-Let investment. Commenting on Skipton the mortgagee said “I did not go through a broker I came directly to Skipton and Skipton provided a very straightforward application and decisions process."

  • A mature Terraced House worth £300,000 in the South West of England was remortgaged to a value of £134,000. This was completed on an interest only basis to a Guernsey resident British Expatriate. Commenting on the remortgage the mortgagee said "Working with Skipton's Underwriters was an easy process. They fully understood my requirements and liaised with all the required professional parties in a timely manner".

  • A Guernsey resident British Expat completed a £154,000 UK mortgage with Skipton to purchase a purpose built flat in the Thames Valley valued at £240,000. The flat will be a long term buy to let investment and is mortgaged on an interest only basis. The mortgagee commented “Skipton provided a straightforward application and decision process”.
