The staff get the 2 stars for being professional and attentive. Skipton gets a zero because despite having placed £30.000 in a fund I still have no WRITTEN notification that the money is now in the correct fund only that the previous fund is closed ( see history) making your customers to wait so long for a bond certificate to be issued is ridiculous and doesn’t make customers wit smaller amounts valued.
Plus having sold my house I wished to put money from it with you immediately and was told I couldn’t because I didn’t have utility bills showing my new address , therefore I lost interest .

Thank you for your feedback, which I have had investigated.I am pleased to hear the Skipton team have provided good service. A letter was mailed confirming that your new fixed rate savings account had been opened. This letter confirmed that a 14 day 'cooling off' period applied during which the account may be closed or additional deposits forwarded. The letter also confirmed that once the cooling period ends a Certificate will be issued detailing the deposit. This process provides flexibility for customers when opening fixed rate accounts.As a bank Skipton has a regulatory duty to ensure it has up to date customer documentation before accepting deposits. Whilst this may be frustrating for you Skipton must at all times ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.Kind regardsJim CoupeManaging Director
