COVID-19

Skipton International has implemented plans to maintain service throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We are closely monitoring and following the advice provided by the States of Guernsey Director of Public Health and other experts, plus taking additional measures as appropriate. The majority of our team are now working from home and we continue to operate our office in St Peter Port, Guernsey. However please note that Skipton will not be providing face to face appointments.  We are constantly refining our plans as the situation develops and new advice is received. Skipton is well positioned to ensure continuity of service to you.

For customers facing genuine financial hardship Skipton can support in a number of ways which may include periods of interest only payments and in certain cases short repayment holidays.

New Customers

As of 24 March 2020, Skipton was advised by its survey panel manager in the UK that surveyors were no longer able to visit properties to provide professional valuations. As this forms an imperative part of the mortgage assessment process, regrettably Skipton is unable to accept new mortgage applications until further notice. 

SAVINGS

Skipton International Online  provides an attractive and easy to use online interface where you may check your account details, check deposits have been credited to your account, the interest rate being paid, make withdrawals to your nominated account (generally customers set up their current account) or make and receive secure messages.

If you are uncomfortable with using internet based banking services we also offer a telephone option providing similar functionality to Skipton International Online, but obviously without the secure messaging feature. Telephone banking will be maintained throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
