Trainee Underwriter

Overview

The Trainee Underwriter will support the Underwriting Manager in the provision of mortgage facilities within Skipton International lending criteria and individual mandate. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop towards CeMAP level and beyond. 

Required Skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships both within the company and the wider business environment in order to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret various forms of data. 
  • Excellent team skills.
  • Great verbal and written communication. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review mortgage applications and offer mortgages within your mandate.
  • Liaise with intermediaries, advocates, surveyors and other professionals.
  • Provide input into new product development and marketing campaigns.
