Senior Underwriting Manager

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the business as Senior Underwriting Manager to lead the Underwriting and Credit Management teams. The role is ideal for an individual who has experience in managing lending operations, preferably with a professional related qualification.

Required Skills

Good working knowledge of lending operations
Strong commercial acumen
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships both within the business and the wider business environment
Critical problem-solving ability.
Great attention to detail
Have the ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance, Risk and IT, responsibilities include:

To oversee mortgage underwriting operations to ensure underwriting decisions are made in accordance with regulation, lending policy and agreed timeframes.
To oversee arrears and forbearance management
To ensure that robust governance, controls, monitoring and reporting is in place
To prepare reports for Board and Committees.
