Risk Manager

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the business as Risk Manager in a second line role. The role is ideal for an individual who has experience in managing risk in financial services, preferably with a professional related qualification. We will train bright, committed team players to a recognised risk or finance related qualification and beyond.

Required Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Credit and Operational Risk
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Critical problem-solving ability.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance, Risk and IT, responsibilities include:

  • To provide subject matter expertise, support, challenge, advice and guidance, as required, for the management of credit and operational risks
  • To maintain the credit and operational risk policies and frameworks
  • To lead the production of risk analysis and papers for Board and Committees
  • To ensure a comprehensive understanding and adherence to industry and regulatory standards
