Compliance Officer

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the busy compliance function, as a Compliance Officer. The role is ideal for an individual who has some experience in compliance, preferably with a professional related qualification. We will train bright, committed team players to a recognised compliance qualification and beyond.

Required Skills

  • Good working knowledge of the JFSC handbook
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Critical problem-solving ability. You'll often have to make decisions on the information available, which is not always in black and white
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Compliance Manager and MLRO, responsibilities include:

  • To contribute to the effective operation of the compliance function of the company
  • To assist with the ongoing customer risk reviews, including management of communication and correspondence
  • To keep up to date and provide advisory services to employees on compliance, regulatory (GFSC and JFSC Handbooks) and AML/CTF issues
  • To assist with all aspects of the Compliance Monitoring Programme
  • To assist with compliance issues arising from customer communications
  • To review marketing material to ensure compliance meet with regulatory requirements
