Public Relations Executive

Overview

To support the PR Manager with PR, sponsorship and event activities which protects and builds positive awareness of Skipton International among target stakeholders including the media, in support of brand, customer proposition and corporate plan objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the PR Manager, within the Commercial team, the PR Executive is responsible for assisting in driving and protecting the external reputation of Skipton International across media both reactively and proactively.
  • Playing a role in supporting and delivering a calendar of proactive news stories to keep Skipton front of mind with customers, influencers, and the media.
  • Supporting the PR Manager with the delivery of Communications projects and activities to a high standard, with appropriate support and guidance. Working with PR agency partners when required to ensure projects are delivered effectively and provide a return on investment.
  • Taking and responding to reactive media enquiries, working quickly and efficiently to resolve them.
  • Inspire and engage others through role modelling the values and behaviours.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Skipton International and its values both internally and externally.
  • Anticipate and minimise reputational and operational risk.
  • Manage and prioritise own workload under the direction of the PR Manager to ensure that productivity is optimised, and an appropriate balance is achieved between service and necessary business focus.
